November 30, 2006 - 12:32 pm well, i'm back in melbourne. i'm tanned. i have a new watch, new undies & socks, new shoes and new sunglasses. i'm not sure which one of these purchases i love more. see, i bought two pairs of sunglasses. they rock my face. i love sunglasses! i wore glasses for over ten years and never owned a pair. so it's exciting. i've been looking for a watch for about two years now. i saw it in the window as we were strolling past and i had to have it. so within five minutes of seeing it, i was walking out with it. the undies and socks are crazy bright and super cute. i LOVE socks and undies. and they were on sale! and the shoes... i found a pair of the cutest black heels and sparkly thongs. i couldn't stop wearing the black heels around inside because they are sexy as all hell. the trip itself was fun. queensland has beautiful weather. i haven't been this tanned since i was about 12 years old and able to spend days out in the sun. scott not being there... even for only two weeks... well, you know, it wasn't as hard as leaving for several months at a time, but there was still a touch of misery being without him. he gets me! he just gets me. and that's so nice. we had a moment in the car this week. i picked him up from the train station and he was telling me about the different trains he can take to get home. after i realized this wasn't going to be a quick story (he does this sometimes) i started to laugh. "is this what our life is going to be like? you telling me about the trains?" i asked. he stopped. "this is what our life already is. you better love it." and, god help me, i do! as crazy as it is, i totally enjoy hearing him talk. even if it is about train times. he's a weirdo and i love him for it.
